Description
The 900-mile Idaho Centennial Trail (ICT) weaves through the most scenic portions of Idaho’s wild country, from high desert canyonlands in southern Idaho to wet mountain forests in North Idaho, and many beautiful wilderness areas in between.
Try to make it a lifetime project to cover the Idaho Centennial Trail, or if you can take a summer off, do the thru-hike in about 3 or 4 months.
Leo Hennessy and I created a new ICT home page at the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation web site that provides the best information and maps on the Idaho Centennial Trail. This is your one-stop-shop for all the information you need to travel the ICT. The ICT guidebook also provides some valuable background about the trail.
Check out the Idaho Centennial Trail blog to see photos and stories about Brian Frankle’s thru-hike on the ICT last summer.
Idaho Public Television did a nice segment on the ICT. View it here.
