Jump on your road bike and let the wheels spin. Fly down a paved road with the wind at your back. Jump into a draft line of good friends, crank up the speed and see who can hang on. Wa-hoo! Head out on a half-day tour and clock 40 miles before lunch. Ride that twisting gnarly 3,300-vertical-foot hill-climb to the top of Bogus, and know that you’ve earned your dinner.

We’re blessed with a ton of great road biking routes in the greater Boise Valley. I tried to capture some of the best local rides in the Boise Road Cycling Guide. It’s the first-ever guide to 30+ road biking routes in the greater Boise region.

It’s a two-sided full-color map that folds down to the size of a highway map (it’ll fold up and fit into a pocket). Opened up, the map measures 18” x 32.” One side illustrates rides in the north half of the Boise Valley, and the backside features rides in the south valley, plus Bonus Rides in Canyon County and elsewhere. The maps are printed on waterproof non-tear paper.
